Architecture & System Overview
The role that stays open for eleven months is almost never a sourcing problem. It is a brief that was never properly taken, being worked by someone who was too polite to challenge it.
The Recruitment Agency Field Manual is a 136-prompt playbook covering taking the brief, client development, candidate sourcing, outreach that gets replies, screening and shortlist notes, interview coordination, offers and counter-offers, and after placement.
Start with the Desk Primer — paste in your sector, the roles you fill, your fee model and your current pipeline — and every prompt after it writes for your desk.
Brief-taking gets the largest section because it decides everything downstream. A hiring manager listing eight must-haves has usually never been asked which two they would drop for someone available next month, and the answer to that question is the difference between a fillable role and a quarter of wasted work.
Outreach is written for a candidate who has already ignored three recruiters this week. That means no opening line that could have been sent to anyone, no flattery about their impressive profile, and a specific reason this particular message is arriving today.
And the counter-offer section exists because the placement most likely to collapse is the one that has already said yes. The conversation that prevents it happens weeks before the offer, not on the day the counter arrives.

It found the contradiction in a role I had worked for two months
Seven years of experience at a salary paying four, in a location that ruled out most of the market. It gave me the words to put that back to the client. They raised the band and we filled it in three weeks.
Outreach response rate roughly doubled
The rule that no message may be sendable to a second candidate forces you to actually read the profile. Slower per message, far better replies.
Counter-offer conversation weeks early
Raising it at the second interview rather than at offer changed the whole dynamic. Two candidates told me what would tempt them to stay, and we handled it before it was a crisis.
It will not screen for you
Deliberately refuses to score candidates against criteria and explains why. I understand the reasoning and still wanted the shortcut. Everything else has been excellent.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this for agency recruiters or in-house?
Written from the agency side. In-house recruiters and hiring managers will find brief-taking, sourcing, outreach, screening and offer material directly usable; the client development and fee sections will not apply.
Does it write job adverts?
Yes, within the brief-taking and sourcing sections — but the toolkit's position is that a poor advert is rarely the constraint. Brief quality and outreach response usually are, which is where the prompts concentrate.
Will it screen candidates for me?
It structures screening calls and writes shortlist notes from what you learned. It does not evaluate CVs against criteria automatically, and deliberately so — that is a judgement with fairness implications that should sit with a person applying consistent criteria.
How is it delivered?
You receive a PDF with all 136 prompts organized into 8 sections, delivered within 24 hours of purchase. No app or account required — copy a prompt, fill in the bracketed variables, and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
Can I use this for client work?
Yes. Your purchase includes a single-user commercial and personal license, so you can use every prompt in your own business or for client deliverables without restriction.
