Architecture & System Overview
Nobody reads a review reply to find out what the manager thinks. They read it to find out what kind of place this is when something goes wrong.
This is the Reviews & Complaints section of The Restaurant & Hospitality Handbook, sold as a standalone script library — 18 replies you fill in and send rather than prompts you have to shape first.
Every public reply is written for the wrong audience on purpose. The complainant has made up their mind and is not the reader who matters; the person choosing a table for a birthday in eight months is. That changes the reply substantially — it stops being a defence and becomes a demonstration.
The scripts separate three cases that need genuinely different handling: the review that is unfair, the one that is deserved, and the one that is about something you cannot change, such as your prices or your location. The third is the one most venues answer badly, usually by apologising for something they should not apologise for.
If you also need menu costing, no-shows, rotas, suppliers or filling quiet days, the full toolkit covers all eight areas.

Writing for the next reader changed everything
I had been arguing with reviewers. Answering as though a future customer is reading over their shoulder is a completely different reply and it is obviously better.
The one about prices
A one-star about being expensive. The script does not apologise for the price, it explains it in two sentences without being defensive. Best reply we have ever posted.
One section of a bigger thing
Good for what it is. Our real problem was food cost and that is a different part of the toolkit, which I would buy first if I were starting again.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does this relate to The Restaurant & Hospitality Handbook?
This is one section of The Restaurant & Hospitality Handbook, sold on its own for people who only have this problem. It contains the same 18 scripts as that part of the toolkit — nothing is held back or rewritten. If you need more than this one area, the full toolkit is $43 and covers 8 sections with 136 prompts.
Are these prompts or finished replies?
Mostly finished — scripts with bracketed variables, sendable after one edit. The judgement about which script applies is still yours, and each one states the situation it is for.
Will the review request wording get me in trouble?
No. Nothing offers anything in exchange for a rating or steers unhappy guests away from reviewing, both of which breach most platforms' rules and can remove your reviews entirely.
How is it delivered?
A PDF with all 18 scripts, delivered within 24 hours of purchase. Copy, fill in the bracketed variables, and paste into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
