The Data & Analytics Blueprint
142 copy-paste AI prompts for data teams — SQL exploration, schema and pipeline documentation, cohort and retention analysis, dashboard narratives, analysis plans and stakeholder reporting.
Key Capabilities & Features:
- •The Data Primer: paste your stack, schema shape, known data quality issues and stakeholders once — every prompt after it reasons with your caveats attached
- •Analysis plans that state what result would change a decision before you touch the data, which is the only defence against motivated analysis
- •Metric definition prompts precise enough that two teams compute the same number, ending the meeting where nobody agrees whose figure is right
- •Prompts that will tell you the data cannot answer the question you asked, rather than producing a confident number anyway
- •142 prompts across 9 sections — sql & exploration, metric definitions, schema & data dictionaries, pipeline documentation and more
- •Works with ChatGPT (GPT-5), Claude Opus 5 and Gemini 3.7 Flash — fill the bracket, paste, done
One-time payment • Lifetime access & future updates
What's Inside
9 modules142 promptsEvery module below is included in the single purchase.
- 1
SQL & Exploration
20 promptsTranslating a vague question into a query, exploring an unfamiliar schema, joins that silently drop rows, window functions, and sanity checks before trusting a result.

- 2
Metric Definitions
18 promptsDefining a metric precisely enough that two people compute it identically, edge cases, what counts as active, and reconciling two teams' versions of the same number.

- 3
Schema & Data Dictionaries
16 promptsDocumenting tables and columns so a newcomer can use them, capturing meaning rather than type, recording known data quality issues, and keeping docs alive.

- 4
Pipeline Documentation
16 promptsETL lineage, transformation logic in plain language, failure modes and what breaks downstream, freshness expectations, and the runbook when a job fails overnight.

- 5
Cohort & Retention Analysis
18 promptsCohort construction that is not misleading, retention curve interpretation, separating a cohort effect from a seasonal one, and survivorship bias in your own charts.
Replaces a system previously sold separately
- 6
Analysis Plans
18 promptsSpecifying an analysis before touching the data, stating what result would change a decision, confounders, and knowing when the data cannot answer the question asked.
Replaces a system previously sold separately
- 7
Dashboards & Narratives
18 promptsDashboards answering a question rather than displaying everything, writing the narrative that explains a move, chart choice, and what to leave off entirely.

- 8
Forecasting
12 promptsDemand and inventory forecasting from history, seasonality, stating uncertainty rather than a single number, and being clear when a forecast is really a guess.
Replaces a system previously sold separately
- 9
Stakeholder Reporting
6 promptsAnswering the question actually asked, explaining a bad number without spin, saying the data does not support a conclusion, and pushing back on a leading request.

Architecture & System Overview
The expensive mistakes in analytics are not wrong queries. They are correct queries answering a question nobody asked, two teams computing the same metric differently, and a cohort chart that looks like a retention problem and is actually seasonality.
The Data & Analytics Blueprint is a 142-prompt playbook covering SQL and exploration, metric definitions, schema and data dictionaries, pipeline documentation, cohort and retention analysis, analysis plans, dashboards and narratives, forecasting, and stakeholder reporting.
Start with the Data Primer — paste in your stack, your schema shape, the data quality issues you already know about and who consumes your work — and every prompt after it reasons with those caveats attached rather than assuming clean data.
Analysis plans require you to state what result would change a decision before you look at anything, which is the only real defence against finding the answer you wanted. The metric prompts get a definition precise enough that two teams compute it identically, which quietly ends the recurring meeting where nobody agrees whose number is correct. And several prompts will simply tell you your data cannot answer the question rather than producing a confident figure that will be quoted for a year.

Verified User Feedback
It was seasonality, not churn
We had spent three weeks investigating a retention cliff. The cohort prompt asked for what changed in the window and identified it as a calendar effect hitting all cohorts simultaneously. Embarrassing and enormously useful.
Metric definitions ended a recurring argument
Finance and product had different active user numbers for two years. Working through the edge cases the prompt raised produced one definition both accepted in an afternoon.
Stakeholder section is small
SQL, metrics and cohorts are strong. Stakeholder reporting is six prompts, which is thin given that presenting analysis badly is how good work gets ignored.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from the separate systems you used to sell?
It is all of them, in one purchase. SQL Query & Data Exploration System, Data Dictionary & Schema Docs, Data Pipeline & ETL Documentation, Cohort & Retention Analysis Plan, Dashboard Story & Insight Narrative, Data Analysis Plan for Startups, KPI Dashboard & Metric Definition, Document & PDF Summary System, Inventory & Demand Forecasting are now sections inside this toolkit. Bought individually they came to $170.
Will it write SQL for my schema?
It writes SQL from a described schema and helps you translate a vague business question into a query, including the joins that silently drop rows. It has no connection to your warehouse, so it cannot see your actual tables — the Primer is where you describe them.
Is it a substitute for a statistician?
No. The analysis plan prompts help you specify properly and spot obvious confounders, and they flag when a question needs real statistical expertise — significance testing on unusual distributions, causal inference, survival analysis — rather than answering it.
Does it cover data engineering or just analysis?
Both, at the documentation layer — pipeline lineage, transformation logic, failure modes and runbooks. It does not cover writing or orchestrating pipelines themselves.
How is it delivered?
You receive a PDF with all 142 prompts organized into 9 sections, delivered within 24 hours of purchase. No app or account required — copy a prompt, fill in the bracketed variables, and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
Can I use this for client work?
Yes. Your purchase includes a single-user commercial and personal license, so you can use every prompt in your own business or for client deliverables without restriction.
